Fishing

One of our favorite things to do as a family is fish. Kate and I don't actually fish, but we do enjoy being outside by the water with Robert, Garrison, and Brennan while they fish. I take my camera and snap pictures and Kate plays in the sand and water. We have two spots where we usually go:  Rudee Inlet and Lynnhaven Inlet.

Rudee Inlet is directly off of the Atlantic Ocean near the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

Garrison inspects the bait minnow.

Kate and I walk down to the oceanfront where there is a playground right on the beach.  This girl loves dolphins, which happen to be her school mascot.

Lynnhaven Inlet is off of Chesapeake Bay near where Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic.  We hear fabulous stories of the fish that run through here, but mostly what we catch is seaweed.  The current here is pretty strong so it's not great for swimming, but wading is fun.
