Last Monday (on Columbus Day) the kids and I went to a state park called Mentor Headlands. Conditions were perfect for swimming: the temp was around 88 degrees, the water was clear, there was no threat of sharks or jellyfish, and waves were rolling in gently. The kids loved swimming in Lake Erie. They swam for three hours straight.
I believe this day was the last warm day we'll have for a while. The next day, a cold front came through and it's been quite chilly ever since.
P.S.-The Indians play Boston in game 3 of the ALCS tonight. We clobbered the chowderheads in the 11th inning of game 2 on Saturday, so we're on a roll...GO TRIBE!!!
