We have decided that I am going to homeschool Kate for kindergarten. This was a decision that we did not take lightly. As a former middle school teacher, I am well aware that there are "brick and mortar" school experiences that cannot be replicated in a homeschool setting. For now, this was the best option for us. We are using a fairly new curriculum called k12. Thankfully, this option is taxpayer funded in Ohio. Kate received her own computer, the entire kindergarten curriculum, and an internet-access stipend - all free (actually paid with our taxes.) Thus far, I have been impressed with the efficiency of the program and the curriculum. Yesterday was our first day and I'm happy to report that everything went smoothly. Kate is thrilled to do everything school-related!
